Your lenses often have delicate, transparent, technical coatings and therefore require the best care when cleaning. Below are a number of Dr. Optic tips to ensure your lenses stay dust, dirt and grease free.

Tips

  • Make sure you blow away any loose dust or dirt from the lens before applying the wipe or cloth to reduce the chances of scratching.
  • These Dr Optic pocket size products mean you can carry them around all the time.
  • Use on the glass surface regliarly to ensure your optical product is working to its flil potential.
  • Store your glasses or optical device in a strong case both to reduce the amount of dust in contact with the lenses, and to protect from damage.
  • Ensure you DO NOT use other general cleaning products to clean your lenses as these can damage the expensive coatings.
  • When cleaning your lens ensure you use the Dr. Optic soft microfibre cloth or the
    Dr. Optic individual wipe.
  • Check any lens manufacturers advice.
  • We know there is a temptation to clean you glasses with any shirt you may be wearing. If you do this you colid wear away and damage the delicate coatings on your glasses. Use The Dr. Optic Wipes and Microfibre cloth with special spray to gently lift any dust and grease from the glass surface.
  • Try to avoid holding your glasses at the lens. Dust, dirt and grease can hinder the quality of the lens and can even scratch off the delicate coatings.
